The town has been called Bad Köstritz since 1926. During the Second World War, from May 1944 to April 1945, Gera experienced a total of ten air raids by the American Air Force. Since April 1945, Gera, like the rest of Thuringia, was occupied by the US Army and from July 2, 1945 by the Soviets. The city became part of the GDR in 1949. In 1952 Gera became the district capital.

Exclusive video content is extremely important in contrast to traditional media such as books or films - and this is not the case on social media. GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion is your premier address for a wide range of video production opportunities. This includes multi-camera recordings of concerts, events, musicals, talk shows, readings, TV reports, company portraits, image films and much more. The equipment used is state-of-the-art. The video recording is always in 4K / UHD. If there is enough time until the (online) publication, nothing stands in the way of producing in 8K.
