A main field of activity of GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion is multi-camera video recording and video production. We use cameras of the same type. Basically, at least 4K/UHD is recorded. The video editing is done using professional software on high-performance computers. As one of the few video producers, GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion can produce videos in 8K / UHD-II / UHDTV2 / 4320p.

For the video recording of concerts, theater performances, readings, etc., we consistently use the multi-camera method. The multi-camera video recording makes it possible to record the different areas of the performance from different perspectives. Remote-controlled cameras are used. From a central point, a cameraman has everything in view and can align the cameras in a variety of ways. 5 and more cameras can be operated by a single person. Additional cameramen are not necessary.

Through many years of activity, we also have a wealth of experience in this area. Hundreds of video reports and TV contributions have been made over the years. The topics were as varied as the places reported on. These included current news and information, cultural events, sports competitions, football, handball, social events and much more. Our wealth of experience is so rich that we can produce TV reports and video reports for you on all sorts of topics.

We also use multiple cameras to record interviews, round tables, discussion events, etc. Two cameras are sometimes sufficient if the questioner is not to be shown in the picture in interviews with only one person. In any case, more than two cameras are required when it comes to video recording of interviews and conversations with several people. The extent to which remote-controlled cameras must be used depends on whether the event is attended by an audience. There is no need for a motor pan tilt when it comes to discussions without an audience.

The video recording of events, concerts, interviews, etc. is of course only half the battle. The next step after video recording is video cutting or video editing. During the video editing, the soundtracks and audio tracks are viewed, adjusted and mixed at the same time. A complete video production includes the creation and integration of logos, blurbs and, if necessary, additional image, text and video material. Video material from your own or other sources can be easily integrated. It is also possible to edit, mix and master the audio tracks of concert recordings.

Our range of services also includes the production of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs in small series. In contrast to other storage media, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs have unbeatable advantages. The security of the data on USB sticks, memory cards and hard drives is not guaranteed for eternity. Electronic components are the common cause of data loss from hard drives, USB sticks and memory cards. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs do not have these. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs are the best choice for selling, giving away or archiving music and videos as a keepsake.
