A main field of activity of GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion is multi-camera video recording and video production. We use cameras of the same type. This ensures identical picture quality even with 4K/UHD. The video editing takes place on high-performance computers. As one of the few video producers, GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion can produce videos in 8K / UHD-II / UHDTV2 / 4320p.

The video recording of concerts, theater performances, readings, etc. is of course done with several cameras. The multi-camera video recording makes it possible to record the different areas of the performance from different perspectives. Remote-controlled cameras are used. The cameras are controlled from a central point with regard to zoom, sharpness and alignment. In this way, 5 or more cameras can be controlled by just one person. An entire event can be fully recorded by just one person.

Through working as a video journalist for many years, I was able to gain relevant experience in this area. Hundreds of video reports and TV reports have been produced and broadcast over the years. Both the topics and the locations were very diverse. These included current news and information, cultural events, sports competitions, football, handball, social events and much more. Our wealth of experience makes it possible for you to research all conceivable subject areas in order to produce TV reports and video reports.

Depending on the order, we also use several cameras for the video production of interviews, discussion events, round tables, etc. For simple interviews with only one person, 2 cameras can be sufficient if the questioner is not to be shown in the picture. More than two cameras are always necessary when it comes to interviews and conversations with several people. The extent to which remote-controlled cameras must be used depends on whether the event is attended by an audience. If interviews, conversations or discussion rounds are recorded without an audience, there is no need for a motor pan tilt.

Of course, recording events, concerts, interviews and discussions is not enough. A video production cannot be completed without video editing. The soundtracks or audio tracks have to be adjusted and mixed while the video material is being edited. Additional text, image and video material as well as blurbs are also designed and integrated during the video editing. If you would like video material from you or from other sources to be integrated, you are welcome to submit this. Audio tracks from concert recordings can also be remixed and remastered.

Our range of services also includes the production of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs in small series. When it comes to archiving audio, video and data, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs offer clear advantages. Hard drives, USB sticks and memory cards don't last forever. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs lack electronic components. Thus, these potential weak points and causes for data loss are missing. Blu-ray Discs, DVDs, and CDs are great for selling, gifting, and archiving music, videos, or files.
