Bastian Harper - music video: Love to...


This work was produced many, many winters ago. This is a music video for the song Love to dance by artist Bastian Harper (then The Submission). A basic idea was dancing in a disco and was realized with the dancers from The steps. At that time 4K/UHD was not yet available.

Normally you cannot choose between both options. However, GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion is the exception to the rule. Our cameras are the latest generation of the same type with large 1 inch image sensors used. Optimal image quality is guaranteed even under challenging lighting conditions. Programmable motorized pan-tilts enable remote control of the cameras, thereby reducing the need for staff, resulting in cost savings.

GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion is one of the few companies that offers multi-camera video production. We rely on high-quality cameras of the same type. Basically, at least 4K/UHD is recorded. The video material is cut on high-performance computers. GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion already offers the possibility to produce videos in 8K / UHD-II / UHDTV2 / 4320p.
Video recording of theater performances, concerts, readings ...

When it comes to video recording theater performances, concerts, readings, etc., we naturally use the multi-camera method. Using the multi-camera method, we realize the video recording of the stage performance from many different perspectives. Remote controlled cameras are used. From a central point, a cameraman has everything in view and can align the cameras in a variety of ways. In this way, 5 or more cameras can be controlled by just one person. An entire event can be fully recorded by just one person.
TV and video reports for radio, streaming and the internet

In this area, too, we can draw on a wealth of experience based on many years of activity. Several hundred TV reports, video reports and reports were produced and broadcast. The topics were as varied as the places reported on. These included current information and news, social events, cultural events, sports competitions, football, handball and much more. Our wealth of experience is so rich that we can produce TV reports and video reports for you on all sorts of topics.
Video production of interviews, round tables, discussion events, etc.

The use of several cameras is also useful for the video production of rounds of talks, interviews, discussion events, etc. Two cameras are sometimes sufficient if the questioner is not to be shown in the picture in interviews with only one person. However, if it is an interview or conversation situation with several people, we naturally rely on the multi-camera method. The extent to which remote-controlled cameras must be used depends on whether the event is attended by an audience. If rounds of talks without an audience are to be video-recorded, the motor pan-tilt may not be necessary. This reduces the technical effort.
Editing and editing of video and audio material

Of course, just recording concerts, events, interviews and discussions etc. is not enough. The next step after video recording is video cutting or video editing. The soundtracks or audio tracks have to be adjusted and mixed while the video material is being edited. The integration of additional text and image material as well as the integration of logos and blurbs also takes place during the video editing. Video material from your own or other sources can be easily integrated. It is also possible to edit, mix and master the audio tracks of concert recordings.
Manufacture of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs in small quantities

GERA, Bad Köstritz Film-, Medien-, Videoproduktion offers small batch manufacturing of CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs. In terms of archiving, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs offer a number of advantages. The security of the data on USB sticks, memory cards and hard drives is not guaranteed for eternity. The advantage of Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs is that they do not contain any electronic components. Blu-ray discs, DVDs and CDs for music and video are therefore the first choice as a souvenir, as a gift or for sale.
